Tom was able to relate to both of our children on their own level.  Our son is more athletically geared, while our daughter is more musically oriented.  Tom reached each of them by speaking to them in their own “language.”  He very quickly focused in on the parts of the SAT test that each student needed to understand better.
Our son and daughter each enjoyed learning how to “crack the code” of the SAT exam during their sessions with Tom Rocap. I’ve recommended him to other parents and would do so again in a heartbeat!

During the 2021-2022 school year, Mr. Rocap taught Algebra to my freshman daughter, Sarah. Mr. Rocap never hesitated to help her  by offering tutorials in the mornings or during his “duty free” lunch periods. Sarah is an athlete, and is often absent during normal class time, and he always made her feel confident and comfortable enough that she could ask him for help any time she needed it. Sarah repeatedly said that she felt he was the only teacher who had a “reasonable” amount of homework for his course. When time for the state test came around, Sarah and I were both confident that she would pass with flying colors. 

I appreciated Mr. Rocap’s ability to connect with his students, and that he was able to help my teenager “get” math. I wish she could have him as her math teacher for the rest of high school! I will NOT hesitate to contact him if she has any math troubles in the future.
